For Thanksgiving this year we purchased more food than we needed for that day's festivities. This is never a problem here at the Tango Test Kitchen, as something is always cookin' and extra food just means we have more great stuff for good eats. We ended up with an extra 10 lb turkey, which we decided to deep fry in the Bayou Classic. Here is a short video of how we deep fry here on Long Island. Whatever left-overs we had from this turkey will be used for empanadas, turkey pot pies and tacos. It is great when you can get several meals out of one deep fry session! We'd like to give a shout out to Mary Ann over at The Frugal Chef. She also has a turkey frying video that is real good - actually she has many cooking videos which are real good.
